Here is a non-exhaustive list of our dental treatment prices at Gardens Dental.

Consultations

New patient assessment: Full mouth assessment, 2 small x-rays, photographs, oral cancer screening $189

Tooth specific problem consultation and small x-ray: $115

Panoramic full-mouth x-ray to assess wisdom teeth, heavily filled teeth to check for any infection or problems, or gum disease: $99

Private assessment and x-rays for under 13’s: $75

18-24 year old checkup, clean and x-rays: $145

White Fillings

White (composite) fillings and fissure sealants: $90-659.

We use a rubber dam, (some patients call it a blue tarpaulin or umbrella!), over the teeth we work on, which gives the fillings the best chance of success and longevity with ideal moisture control.

Hygiene

Dental Hygienist: $129 for 30 mins, $199 for 45 mins and $249 for 60 mins.

Tooth Whitening

Tooth whitening: $525.

Custom fit take-home trays for your mouth are manufactured, and 3 tubes of bleaching gel are included in your kit. A pre-bleaching polish is completed on the day the trays are fitted.

Extractions

Tooth extractions: $279-450

Simple extractions start from $279. Multiple simple extractions will be discounted.

Sometimes teeth are quite complicated to remove, and our dentists will refer you to other practitioners if you require surgical removal of wisdom teeth or root-filled teeth. Costs for this can be $300-600, with an added sedation cost of $500-800.

Root Canal Treatment

Root canal treatment: $800-1350 for front teeth (anteriors) and teeth in front of your molar chewing teeth (premolars).

Our dentists refer all molar root canal treatment to Venkat at Smile Art Endodontics at ProMed House 10th Ave, costs are between $1850-2550 for a normal molar tooth; for a re-treat molar root canal, costs are $2900-3400.

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns: $1849 (plus the gold alloy cost).

A full coverage composite (white filling) crown is medium strength, is the shortest lasting option and can last 3-5 years : $550-659

Our NZ laboratory-made dental crowns which are a high-strength, longest lasting option, can last 10+ years. These are made of either a gold alloy, glass ceramic or emax, or zirconia. These are $1849+ per tooth, depending on the gold cost.

Dental Implants

Dental implants: $6500+

Surgery to place the single tooth implant at OMS on Brown Street is approximately $3000, if sedation is included, the cost is around $3600. Multiple implants placed at the same time means one surgery cost, so a second implant placed is $1800 rather than $3000.

Four-six months later once bone has knitted to your implant screw (integration), your dentist will take the implant impression ($1000), and three weeks later the implant crown is fitted, $2000.
